Me2Me: Mood Tracker & Journal · Last updated: November 3, 2026
The short version
- Your journal stays on your device. Your check-ins, moods, notes and photos never leave your phone unless you choose to share or export them.
- There is no account and no sign-up. I never see your journal.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). To manage subscriptions, the App uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID and your purchase details, and nothing from your journal.
- Apart from RevenueCat, the App sends nothing to the internet.
1. Who I am
Me2Me (the “App”) is made by IMAR (Irina Marinenko), an independent developer based in Kazakhstan (“I”, “me”, “my”). I am responsible for the App and for this Privacy Policy. You can reach me at info@imar.tech.
This policy explains what information the App handles, where it is kept, and the choices you have.
2. Your journal stays on your device
Everything you create in the App is stored locally on your device, in the App's own storage:
- check-ins, moods and topics;
- notes;
- photos you attach to entries;
- your saved favorite moments (Joy Box);
- your streaks, which are calculated on the device from your check-ins;
- your settings, such as appearance and reminder times.
The App has no servers of its own and no user accounts. I do not receive, see or store the contents of your journal. Because your entries may describe your feelings and well-being, I designed the App so that this information never leaves your device on its own.
3. What I do not collect
- No names, email addresses, phone numbers or other contact details.
- No location data.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not ask for tracking permission because it does not track you.
The only service the App connects to over the internet is RevenueCat, for subscriptions (see section 5).
4. Permissions the App may ask for
Camera and Photos
If you choose to add a photo to an entry, your phone may ask for access to your camera or photo library. The App uses this access only to let you take or pick that photo. A copy of the photo is saved in the App's storage on your device. Photos are not uploaded anywhere.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, your phone will ask for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification servers are used.
You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Me2Me Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store (and, when the Android version is released, through Google Play). Apple or Google processes all payments. I never receive your payment card details, your Apple ID or your Google account. Their handling of your information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
To check whether you have an active subscription and to restore purchases, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service provided by RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). RevenueCat acts as my data processor. When you open the App or make a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- a random, anonymous app user ID created automatically (it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account);
- your purchase and subscription details for Me2Me: which plan, purchase and renewal dates, trial status;
- basic technical information needed to handle the request: device type, operating system and app version, country or region, language and currency, and IP address.
RevenueCat never receives anything from your journal. This information is used only to provide and manage your subscription and to give me aggregated sales figures (for example, how many people subscribed this month). It is not used for advertising or tracking. You can read RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
6. When information leaves your device because you chose so
Backups
Your phone may include the App's data in its system backup:
- on iPhone, in iCloud Backup, if it is turned on in your iPhone settings;
- on Android, in Google's automatic backup, if it is turned on in your phone settings.
These backups are created and stored by Apple or Google under your own account and are governed by their terms. You control them in your phone's settings. I have no access to them.
Export and sharing
When you export your entries to a PDF or text file, or share a phrase as a picture, the file is created on your device and sent only where you choose in the share menu (for example, Files, Mail or Messages). After that, the app or service you picked is responsible for it.
Emails to me
If you write to me at info@imar.tech, I receive your email address and anything you include in your message. I use it only to reply to you and to help with your request. I keep this correspondence only as long as needed and delete it on request.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
- Your journal stays on your device until you delete it. In the App, go to Settings → Delete All Data to permanently erase all entries and photos. Deleting the App also deletes all of its data from your device, and reinstalling the App does not bring it back. Older copies may remain in your phone's system backups (iCloud or Google) until those backups are replaced or deleted.
- Subscription records held by RevenueCat are kept while needed to provide your subscription and to meet accounting and legal obligations. If you want them deleted, email me and include your order ID from the App Store or Google Play receipt email so I can find the anonymous record.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Since your journal is kept only on your device, you already control it fully: you can view, edit, export and delete it in the App at any time.
For the limited subscription information described in section 5, or for any privacy question, contact me at info@imar.tech. I will reply as soon as possible, and in any case within the time required by applicable law. I will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
United States residents, including California
I do not sell or share personal information, and I do not use it for targeted advertising. The only personal information processed for the App is an anonymous identifier, purchase details and basic technical information, used for providing subscriptions, as described in section 5.
Canada, Japan and the Republic of Korea
The information described in section 5 is transferred to and stored in the United States, as follows:
| Recipient | RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). Contact: privacy@revenuecat.com |
|---|---|
| Items transferred | Anonymous app user ID, purchase and subscription details, basic technical information (device type, OS and app version, country or region, language, currency, IP address) |
| When and how | Over an encrypted internet connection when the App starts or a purchase is made or restored |
| Purpose | Providing, verifying and restoring subscriptions |
| Retention | While your subscription records are needed, or until you ask for deletion (section 7) |
RevenueCat processes this information only on my behalf and under contractual safeguards. Data protection laws in the United States may differ from those in your country. If you do not want this transfer, you can use the free features of the App without making a purchase, but subscriptions cannot work without it.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
10. Security
Your journal is protected by the security of your device, such as your passcode, Face ID or fingerprint. Communication with RevenueCat uses an encrypted connection. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, but keeping your journal on your device means it is never exposed on a server.
11. Not medical advice
Me2Me is a journal with supportive phrases. It is not a medical or psychological service, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line. In the US and Canada, call or text 988.
12. Changes to this policy
If I change how the App handles information, I will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If the change is significant, I will also let you know where appropriate, in the App or in its release notes.
